Arctic glow flow-wands are covered in glow-in-the-dark tape, and they can be 'charged' in a number of ways. In most cases, the wand will glow brightly for 1-2 hours and can continue to glow for several hours - even days - afterwards.

As a general rule, the brighter the light source the better the glow. When you take a glow in the dark product away from a source of light, it will slowly release the light that it has captured. As time passes, it will get dimmer until it is again recharged.

The most efficient ways to charge an arctic glow wand are to leave it under direct sunlight or a black light. You can use other light sources to charge the wand, such as fluorescent lights, incandescent lights, flashlights, or LEDs - yup, you can use your podpoi to charge an arctic glow wand!
