Tools needed: scissors + tweezers + Bic lighter + masking tape
1. remove o-ring from capsule light + pull out the washer, set them in a safe place ;)
2. Tightly wrap masking tape around end of the leash, to avoid fraying
3. Cut the middle of the masking tape, to trim old melty-end of cord off
4. Thread on the washer, over the tape
5. Do a short melt with the tape still on, see pic —> this is just to keep the cord from fraying when tape comes off
6. Peel the tape off
7. Pinch cord with tweezers below washer, about 1/2” away from end of cord
8. While pinching, use lighter to thoroughly melt the end of the cord about 1 whole minute. BE CAREFUL NOT TO BURN YOURSELF - the lighter will get hot. Make sure it globs a bit, this will prevent the washer from coming off the end again
9. Once melted thoroughly, let the glob harden for 1 or more minutes
10. Slide washer against hardened end of cord
11. Slide o-ring over washer, then the tri-ring onto the cord facing down (so you can assemble the petals into it)
12. Insert washer + insert into capsule light
