If you need to install a floop handle onto your leash, here are some tips to help you get the leash reconfigured.

    • Here is a video full of useful leash info using flowcord, and the part about getting the o-ring onto your leash is at 4:09 -

Smithy cord is a little different from flowcord. You’ll want to have a lighter, a pair of pliers and LARGE welded rings which we offer on our site here: https://flowtoys.com/welded-rings-set-of-2

Here’s a quick step-by-step:

  • Wrap masking tape around the tip of the smithy cord to prevent it from fraying when cut
  • Trim off the end your smithy cord leash
  • Use a lighter to lightly melt the end so it has a flat, solid end and then remove the tape
  • Thread the flattend end of the smithy cord through the large welded o-ring, around the swivel, and back through the ring again.
  • Carefully melt a 1/8th inch section at the end of the cord until it starts to bubble and form it into a ball shape using the flat edge of the pliers. We've included a photo of the melted end and welded ring connection below.
