The most appropriate length for a dragon staff is the distance from the ground to around mouth/nose level. This refers to the length of the shaft itself to allow for a substantial playable shaft area while keeping the staff a manageable length. 


With a shorter shaft, the playable shaft will be limited making it more challenging to manipulate the staff. With a longer shaft, the staff will be heavier and have the potential to wobble or bounce as the weight is focused at each staff end.

Do note, the Trikon and pop'n flow hubs add ~5" to the overall staff length since they extend beyond the tip of the shaft (see photo below). You'll still want to size the dragon staff based on the shaft length rather than the overall length.
