Capsule 1.0 was released in 2012 with the launch of podpoi. We made several improvements to the design over the years of capsule v1, including capsule 1.2, which had an accelerometer instead of an internal spring to detect motion.
Capsule 2.0 was released in 2018 with a whole new brain/circuit board and many more features than the original v1. Here's a link to its key features and launch video.
If you have capsule 1 and would like to upgrade to capsule 2.0, you can send your capsule 1 in for upgrade credit. Please email us at support@flowtoys.com and we'll set you up with upgrade instructions.
