• If your button is hard to press, it could be due to the button hardware being improperly assembled or broken, or due to dirt or corrosion or damage.
  • If the light only turns on while the button is held down, the electronics might be faulty, and the light will need to be replaced.
  • If the light “flashes green then turns to a mode” whenever it turns on, the button is probably being held down by faulty hardware.
    • remove the flowcap or pod shell and see if you have the same issue with the button: if the button works correctly without the cap, check for debris / protrusions and remove them
    • if the issue is still coming up with the cap re-installed, try the switching the cap with another and see if it works

Check your button hardware:

  • podpoi or capsule in pod shell: Capsule lights are held in the pod shell with a C-ring. If this hard plastic ring is missing or has come off inside the shell, it will create a gap at the button. Make sure your C-ring is correctly installed.
  • flowcap:Capsule light snaps into the flowcap with the seams aligned with the buttons. If the cap is not snapped on correctly, it will create a gap at the button, making it hard to press. It can also cause the cap to get jammed in the tube. Make sure to always put your cap on correctly.
  • vision poi, staffs, chucks, darts, wands and other tube-based vision props: Vision props have a vision cap adaptor in the flowcap that enables it to press the button. Make sure the adaptor is fully inserted into the cap and the cap is snapped fully onto the tube.

→ If button hardware is missing, incorrectly assembled, or broken, this might be making the button hard or impossible to press.
→ Please take a picture of the broken part, or let us know what's missing. Email warranty@flowtoys.com to let us know what's going on and we'll get you sorted out :)

vision props ::

  • Remove the cap and press the button directly: if the button works correctly without the cap, check button and cap for debris/protrusions and remove them
  • If the issue is still coming up with the cap installed, try the switching the cap with another prop and see how both props respond
  • If the cap seems to be the issue, send us a photo of both sides of the cap and we can get you set up with a replacement
  • For clubs: If the club (not cap) seems to be the issue, check if PCB and flange-clip are fully inserted / installed - it should look like your other clubs
  • Check the button for physical damage. Is it bent or broken? Are the solder-joints breaking off the board? Does it feel stuck/jammed when you press it? If so, it will need to be repaired or replaced. Please email us at support@flowtoys.com and we'll take care of you.

capsule :: if your button hardware is OK

  • Open the capsule shell

  • Check the button for dirt:

    • If dirty, you can rub it clean with your finger or a cloth

    • If slightly corroded/water damaged, you may need something more abrasive, like your fingernail, or a scrubby sponge. Adding a tiny bit of petroleum jelly/vaseline, or other grease or oil will help with cleaning and prevent further corrosion.

    • If very corroded, you can send back for half price replacement

If none of the above work, please email us at support@flowtoys.com for replacement instructions.
