If you have flowtoys connect props - vision & capsule 2 lights - you can do program to music in a couple of ways.

  1. Get a hardware bridge and the beta "flowtoys connect" app. More info here.

  2. You can also use the 1-button interface that comes with your flowtoys connect props (capsule 2 and vision props). This option works better in some situations.

You can save modes to "favorites" and "show" pages and "cue" them with a button press, have an assistant do it using a remote prop, and/or have them cycle at a specific timing interval using the favorites autoplay. You can even save different modes to the same "slot" in each light in a connected group, so they do different things at the same time. This is a pretty powerful feature, and we know performers, who prefer this set up rather than using a timeline-based program.

One of the features of vision props is that you can save a 'dark' mode, so it will look like the prop is powered off when it is still on. This feature will allow you to do what you mentioned and have some of the prop look like they are powered off while others are on. Since the prop is still powered on, you will be able to control the prop and easily adjust modes.

For performances, we strongly recommend adding a capsule remote to your vision prop order. This way, either you or someone off-stage can adjust the modes at specific times during the performance. Depending on the complexity of the performance, it might be an option easier than programming the favorites autoplay, and will allow for any adjustments during the course of the show.

You can check out our advanced favorites resource for more details using favorites to create shows. Favorites is an "advanced" feature that requires you to know some basic button presses, but once you know those, you can access all the advanced features.
