Sometimes a faulty USB jack, cable or charger could be the cause of trouble.

The easiest way to test the cable and charger is with a light that you know responds correctly:

  • Plug it in, and slowly move the cable around near the plug on both ends of the cable.
  • If the light does not respond or flashes because you’re moving the cable, try a different cable and/or charger.

If the charge and cable are good, but still not working on the light, examine the USB jack in the light.

  • Is there any dirt in there? Can you clean it out with a toothpick, needle or pin?
  • Is the USB jack physically damaged? You might be able to bend it back into shape and keep using it.
