If some of your LED boards have shifted off axis, check out the tips below to realign them
We use 3D printed bumpers that hold the vision cores in position and prevent them from rattling in the tube.
When the props are first built, the fit is very tight and it keeps both boards aligned. Over time and use, the fit can loosen up and may allow a board to shift off axis. The flexing of the shaft can cause it to shift and it's possible it could again in the future. We recommend keeping an eye on your props and follow these steps to realign them.
You can totally DIY fix it from home with a bit of finesse.
We recommend carefully grabbing the filament handle (see picture below) on the end of the misaligned side and pull the board until it sticks out of the end enough to grip and move. Be cautious around the charging port and the button at this part.
It helps to pad a pair of pliers with tape like so:
Once you can grip the board, you can gently turn it until it is realigned on axis with the other side and push it back into the tube.
When pushing the board back in, mind the seam in the diffusion paper as it may crinkle if it gets caught.
If the diffusion paper does fold, you can smooth it out with a chopstick.
Hope that helps, and please feel free to reach out with any questions. If you have any trouble, please contact us.
