These instructions apply to both capsule 2.0 and vision core lights.
flowOS “Pages interface” provides a framework that enables you to navigate through many modes and settings with just 1 button using a few types of button presses. This interface is consistent through all new flowtoys props in the foreseeable future - learn one, learn them all :)
Page | Feature |
1-3 | Each page has 10 modes, plus an 11th “autoplay” mode. All modes are adjustable. |
4 | Favorites. Save your favorite patterns and/or create a show. The default modes in Page 4 are “bold red” & “autoplay”. You can save up to 60 favorites. |
5 | Settings. This is where you can control your grouping, brightness, white balance, auto-sleep/wake and other features, and reset to factory default. There is also a bonus “random autoplay” mode at the end ;) |
6-7 | Shortcut to Page 1 mode 1. The only other way to get to p1m1 is to cycle through all 11 modes and “off” on any page. |
8-9 | Show pages. When you save your favorites/p4 “autoplay” mode, it creates a “show page” full of the modes from your favorites page. You can then edit/delete all your favorites without affecting the show pages. |
10-12 | TBD. Still in development, room to grow! |
13 | Bonus modes. 30-50 experimental modes. We were going to keep them secret, but they were too cool not to share! Tip: any page above 12 gets you to Page 13, so go for 15 clicks to make it easy! |

Autoplay
- Autoplay is the 11th mode in Pages 1-3, and the last mode in Pages 4, 8, 9 and 13.
- Autoplay automatically cycles through all modes on a page. You can adjust the timing of the cycle..
- Can't decide on a mode? Want to see all the modes in a page? Autoplay is your answer.
- More details on autoplay and timing intervals here.
Page 4 :: favorites
Page 4 is where you'll see your most recently saved patterns. You can also use grouping in combination with favorites to create “looks” within a prop set (pair of poi, set of clubs, dragon staff with lots of lights) or “scenes” amongst multiple props sets, and change modes on cue without needing to use multiple different groups.

Video below is a brief intro to Favorites using the "capsule 2.0" light as an example - the features and navigation are the same for vision props:
Page 5 :: settings
Adjusting your settings is an advanced feature that requires you to understand the basic button presses of flowOS.
You will need to know how to:
- "Page click" to get to the settings page
- "Press" to navigate and select settings
- "Long press" to adjust your setting
- "Hold to save"
P5 modes | Setting - click to access specific instructions |
1 | Grouping |
2 | Brightness |
3 | White balance |
4 | Kinetic response |
5 | Auto-sleep/ wake |

9 | placeholder (dim red) |
10 | Reset to default |
11 | Random autoplay |
Each “mode” on page 5 represents a setting that can be adjusted.
Settings affect the overall behavior of the light and in most cases apply to all modes.
Settings are temporary by default, and can be saved.
To save a setting, “hold to save” (about 7 sec.) The setting will be applied until you change it.
To “temporarily” apply a setting, do not save. The setting will be retained until you turn the prop off, then it will return to the previous setting.
Each settings mode displays its current setting until you adjust it.
Adjusting a setting:
Most settings have 5 levels to choose from. This simplifies adjustment and enables you to know when two different lights have exactly the same setting.
Setting levels are indicated by blinks, similar to page number blinks.
When adjusting a setting, the light will blink 1-5x to indicate what level it is on. Press to select.
Page 8&9 :: show pages
This feature is for advanced favorites users only! With flowOS 2.0, you can save favorites auto-play to create a show page, which can be used like extra favorites pages, and/or for dedicated shows. Click here for instructions on using advanced Favorites.
Page 13 :: bonus modes
This page contains bonus experimental modes - 34 bonus modes in capsule 2.0 and 50 bonus modes in vision props.
